Ways NOT to Keep on a Baby’s Hearing Aids

SbvCHsSvQhk, Ways NOT to Keep on a Baby’s Hearing Aids, Our son is seven and a half months and fascinated with putting his hearing aids in his mouth. We have searched for solutions and found that most are very, very short-term. In desperation, we sacrificed my headband for the sake of sanity. It’s a light open knit. We’re getting slightly more masculine ones made, as well as beanies. We made this short video to light-heartedly share the struggle.

Here are our successes and failures… And also, his ear mold aren’t fitting quite right, which has led to him fiddling with them more. This is very common. New ones are on the way!

Wig Tape: We will use this again when he gets is older or is past (or not interested) in putting them in his mouth. Will keep them in place while he moves around, but not strong enough to resist a willful yank.

Strings: Will definitely revisit once we are past the oral stage. These will keep him and us from losing the hearing aids, but do not keep them out of his mouth.

Head bands: Are awesome! Light string with open patterns haven’t harmed the sound quality. Some people use bonnets and hats as well. We will be exploring other fabrics too.

Distraction: This will work for a while, but at some point he always wants his hearing aids more than the toys we offer. Ah the temptation of the proverbial forbidden fruit. Also, we cannot leave the room.,
